About

Tia Shen holds a degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Shih Hsin University and has been hosting events professionally for over nine years, from arena-scale stages to formal ceremonies attended by the President of Taiwan.

Her work concentrates in three areas: luxury and fashion launches, beauty and skincare campaigns, and formal ceremonies for government bodies and large corporations. The first two call for pace and poise, the third for precision under a tight run sheet.

In 2015 she represented Taiwan in Xiamen and placed third in the 7th Cross-Strait TV Host Newcomer Competition. Her range runs from composed and formal to warm and quick on her feet, across product launches, press conferences, corporate galas, exhibitions, ceremonies, television and live broadcast.

Outside hosting, she founded SEK, a co-working space for entrepreneurs, in 2020, and Workin Bar, the first shared business space in Keelung, in 2021. Since 2022 she has worked in podcast production and serves as creative director at X issue in Taipei.

How it works

From first enquiry to the day itself.

  1. Enquiry

    Send the date, event type, venue, expected duration and language requirement.

  2. Availability and quote

    Reply within one to two working days, with a quote where the details allow.

  3. Confirmation

    Formal quotation issued. Run sheet and script received from the organiser.

  4. Preparation

    Wardrobe agreed against the event or brand palette. Rehearsal time confirmed.

  5. Event day

    On-site early for rehearsal, run-through, sound check and floor plan.

Questions

How are fees calculated?
Four factors: total duration, event type and scale, whether a separate rehearsal day is required, and whether the event is in Mandarin, English or both. Corporate and brand events start from NT$20,000. English and bilingual hosting is quoted on top of the base rate.
What is included in the fee?
Transport, hair and make-up, tax, and on-site rehearsal before the event. Outfits can be matched to the event or brand palette at no extra cost.
Which areas are covered?
Greater Taipei primarily, with travel across Taiwan. Past venues include Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Keelung and Hualien. Overseas engagements have also been undertaken. Travel and accommodation for remote or overnight events are itemised separately.
How is invoicing handled?
Engagements are taken in a personal capacity, so a company invoice is not issued. Organisers file the fee as professional service income under Taiwan tax codes 9B or 9A70. Reimbursement procedures for government bodies and universities can be confirmed at enquiry stage.
